That was definitely worth reading.

Even though I agreed with Maureen about the headline being a little
over-the-top, I remembered that that is how headlines are written in this
day-and-age (comment fodder), and took your recommendation as reason enough
to click through.

I don't agree with everything he wrote (obviously, my country and experience
and interests being vastly different), but he writes well, and made some
great points. I have added him to my reading list, because he did talk
intelligently yet fairly on a subject he obviously felt strongly about.

I don't understand governments, writers, or media outlets. I would _love_ to
see a nice infographic showing the location of the new construction having
been approved, and a timeline about how _long_ it took to get through the
process. Same thing for the new apartments to be built where the hotel now
stands.

I would bet money that a well built graphic, provided to newspapers, would
be on 75% of front pages tomorrow. Just send it to the AP.

An uninformed public believes the guy with the best hair. An informed public
can look beyond that to think a little deeper.
