So which part(s) did I get so wrong? The overall immediate goal of the Tea Party Movement? (smaller and limited government, no or low taxes) The fact that lots of people are trying to ride those coat tails? (TINO - Tea Party in Name Only?) The fact that the core Tea Party leaders (as much as a grassroots decentralized movement has leaders) are not comfortable (at least publically) with the rhetoric of some of the self-proclaimed local leaders? That many people want to widen the "platform" of the Tea Party movement to include their particular set of social and political beliefs, many of which are antithetical to other Tea Party people?
