argh, it's tempting but to open to abuse. It wasn't fun saying we should not invade Iraq back when the war started, for example. I seriously expected violence at some of the protests I went to but when it materialized it was on a day I wasn't there. (There was a recurring vigil thingie going on for a while....)
if you start saying you can't express unpopular views because you might get hurt aren't you legitimizing the hurters? And in this case yes, a bop on the nose might be worth the consequences. But how much better to treat them with the disdain they deserve and remain available to show up another day, hmm? I am sure those Patriot Riders have to do Yoga breathing exercises to maintain, but they do.
