IMO, you couldn't be more wrong. The deep philosophy in all of his
books goes way beyond a mere libertarian rant. If This Goes On is one
of the best books ever on the dangers of Religious zealots. The Moon
is a Harsh Mistress nails the idea of too much government control.
There are discussions of gender acceptance, medical ethics, cloning,
etc. in I Will Fear No Evil, Time Enough for Love and Friday. the
topics that were life changing for me - theology and politics - in
fact, most of my political views that are not directly Jeffersonian
are derived from Heinlein's ideas. I will admit I got a bit bored
with some of the sexual aspects of his later works, but they didn't
take away from the beauty and power of the his philosphy.
