Big Bang as we know it: The universe started from nothing. There was an 
explosion and in 1/10000 of a second it had already expanded to thousnds of 
light years.

Biblical account: God said let there be light and there was.

Why do people think those are incompatible? Seriously? The Big Bang sound like 
someone flipping on a light switch to me.

As for evolution vs. creationism...Well they aren't exactly incompatible 
either, depending on your view of creationism. Given that random chance 
evolution has been disproven a couple of times over (irreducible complexity, 
look it up before you flame) the only remaining possibility is some sort of 
intelligent designer. That doesn't neccesarily mean that said designer didn't 
use evolution to get to us.
