Isn't it great when that happens? I had that happen on my mother's
side -- someone who is probably a third cousin through the woman my
mother's grandfather married did a lot of the Ontario stuff. The stuff
we do know matches her tree. According to that, we're descended from
the first child born in Upper Canada, which does make me a bit
suspicious. And...

***Yeah...just to throw a wrench in the gears, we don’t know anything about
her husband. She was either divorced (doubtfully), he died in Poland, or
stayed behind. She came with my grandmothers father and uncle. As I said
before, she had a sister in Montreal and I have 2 border crossing documents
from 2 of her trips. One lists her sister's last name as Mimzender and the
other as Misenberg. I was talking to a guy on the Montreal board on
ancestry.com and he had an Mitzenbug in his family who lived at the same
address in the 1920's and 30's when my ggrandmother went for the visits. My
Great Uncle thinks it's yet another name...so I have 4 potential last names.
I probably have family there to this day...it would be cool to get in touch
with them. I need to find who to talk to in Montreal about property records
and also contact some of the Synagogues up there to see if they may be able
to shed some light on the subject. The house she lived in is no longer
there. I google mapped it and looked at the street view...it's now a
parking lot.****

If you google some of the names you come up with more ancestry.com
trees, some of which say we're descended from a guy knighted by Anne
Boleyn. But the same tree that mentions this also claims as an
ancestor someone born in Main in 1503 or something. So...wait. In
1503... damn few Europeans weere being born in Maine and the Indians
that *were* probably weren't keeping good track of the day and month
of birth. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Just saying, there's a hole in the road there.

***a hole? Sounds more like an impact crater hhehehe***
