I simply cannot see Nirvana being on the list, let alone in the top 5. These baboon's included bands like Blondie, Nirvana, Iggy Pop - yet they have the shear nerve to shaft true legends like Clapton, Creedance Clearwater, Michael Jackson?
I can't say I own a single MJ CD, but I do own all Korn albums, but I would argue with you all day that including Korn on that list and leaving MJ out is simply retarded. Do you really think Korn has or will ever have a larger fan base than the ultimate 4-decade king of pop? blah! The number one impersonated rock'n'roll singer on the planet was not even included, shafting the King?? Tell me the last time you saw a 60-year-old japanese man impersonating Husker Du ?! Sure, you can probably convince me that N.W.A had it's impact, but, uh - next time you are on the street, see how many people know the lyrics to "Straight Outta Compton, NWA" in comparison to "Proud Mary" "Who'll stop the rain" "Suzie Q" "Bad moon rising" "I put a spell on you" "Fortunate Son" "Green River" - need I go on from CCR's amazing 50+ album's and compilations available?! (3 actual albums from NWA, and 4 greatest hits and tributes - *choke*) Okay, you're right "Fuck the police" is much more of a rock'n'roll legendary song than "Down on the corner" I am positive this list was put together in haste, how else can you excuse Pink Floyd being sunk to # 49??. Public Enemy on list, but Aerosmith is not. Whatever - don't get me going on another rant. What a complete joke. > : ( P.s. I'm in my 20's and no, Kurt Cobain has no place on the list - *shaking head in dis-belief* ----- Original Message ----- From: "Howard Owens" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, May 20, 2002 10:16 AM Subject: RE: Top 50 bands of all time > Nirvana is most certainly one of the top 5 all time bands.
