I'm a command line cowboy, but I've never been fond of it for version control. VC is one thing that really should be integrated well with the software you use. Having to switch contexts to be "good" (committing early & often). I especially love visual representations of source code changes. There's just no equivalent on the command line. Sometimes a bit of graphics can really speed you up. I flip'n *love* data visualization. Subclipse has been adding all kinds of nifty graphical stuff, it's been hard for me to have just "gotten there" with SVN, only to have to wait months (more likely years) for similar stuff in Git. Regardless, have you guys *seen* how much work people have been putting into Git to have it work with SVN (or even CVS)? Instead of reinventing the stuff, some folks are making it so things that work with SVN work with Git too. Interesting developments all the time. :Den -- All ideologies are idiotic, whether religious or political, for it is conceptual thinking, the conceptual word, which has so unfortunately divided man.
