I actually suspect most business owners would make this choice easily if it keeps them in business. The problem them becomes the cost of moving to Braintree or PayPal and the code changes required to modify these parts of their existing web application(s). Some can't even plonk down $5K for this, which means they are very unlikely to find a reputable agency willing to do the work. An individual maybe, especially a younger less experienced individual. But do you really want that type of inexperience working on something critical to your business?
