I agree...we used to have some decent soccer clubs here back in the 80's and that is all gone.

I took the time to explain the differences between simulation and actually getting hurt and playing through it. You then basically tried to tell me that because a small handful of players fake it that the American public sees all rolling around on the ground as fake. Your simple one liner certainly made it seem like you are saying one bad apple ruins the whole bunch. Which seems odd since the American public seems to have no trouble loving all the other sports that are riddled with people of poor moral fibre. Why did I say you had no reading comprehension? Because it seemed that way when your comment basically shows you are ignoring the explanation I gave. Another thing that needs to be said, I hear a lot of comments about "if you want us [Americans] to take soccer seriously..." etc. No one is trying to get America to take football seriously other than American players and clubs. You think the UK gives a god-damn if America embraces football? We've already seen American ownership style nearly destroy EPL clubs. I think you [the American people] have this misconceived notion that the rest of world wants you to love football. As far as I can tell the rest of the world doesn't care if you love it or not. We just try to educate you so that if you are going to bash it you at least know what you are talking about.
