Very good article.
I didn't read it, but I read your excerpt :-)

The problem is that Capitalism in America is broken, and I believe America
is heading toward the modern day equivalent of the Feudal system.

A small group of ultra wealthy 'Kings' , their Lords and the rest of us as
Vassals of varying degrees.
It's quite tragic. And it has happened slowly over the years and now I think
we are about to see the end result where the bottom finally drops out so to
speak.

There was a study done in Trinidad in the last few years about Poverty. On
paper Trinidad's GDP is supposed to be about USD14,000 , fairly high.
But the reality is that over 500,000 of our 1.3 million population live on
or below the established Poverty Line. There are very many things broken in
Trinidad, and one of them is that we do not have a 'Free Market' in reality.

America lost the 'Free Market' which is supposed to drive capitalism decades
ago, but it maintains the illusion.
As long as those with more money than you are allowed to control Government
Policy (we see the effects in what happened with BP), and this has been
confirmed by the Supreme Court that they can do that,
you set your nation on a spiral down to a very dystopian future.
