I spend a huge amount of time managing tax forms and government filing
crap. The thing I hate the most are the taxes I may be exempt from
altogether or have already maxed out of the year, yet I still have to
routinely file papers that say 'I still owe zero dollars, just like
the last 43 times I filed this form". I hate having to hire someone
just to do this stuff for me, but I am about to. It's ridiculous that
small business owners have to spend hours and hours of time each week
just to stay on top of the endless paperwork required just to exist.
So, I will pay someone to shuffle paper instead of someone who could
be writing code, or otherwise producing business. Wonderful! Someone
out there is wondering why they can't find work as a software
developer. That's why.

I moved out of California 3 years ago and they STILL send me crap in
the mail that I have to answer stating my business moved.

For the record, this is actually one of the things that FairTax
simplifies. Businesses still file, but only on sales (which all
companies which sell things do already, if they are in a state that
has sales tax). FairTax would potentially eliminate multiple monthly,
quarterly, and annual filings on both the state and federal level.
