I thought it was a swell book. I remember going to a wine tasting while reading it, and being pretty engrossed. Having read a lot about the Bad kind of Socialism prior, I guess I was better prepared for it. :) There were parts you had to wade through, but hell, I waded through rather long winded descriptions of the environment in the Elfstones of Shannara. There's a purpose to both though, and I'll give an artist their due. Then again, I made it through like 10 of the Battlefield Earth books.
