in general i'm 100% with you I also firmly believe people that mess with kids should be castrated full stop (to start with), I think that would slow them done a bit.
In this country it sounds like we have the same problems, a person can get a suspended sentance for mugging a pensioner (while half killing them), yet recently one man was given 6 months in jail for collecting golf balls. Seems like sheer madness. The only trouble is with capitol punishment is that sometime the wrong person is punished. So i suppose its a balancing act between the people saved by the threat of extreme punishment and the undoable harm caused to those people who are convicted wrongly..
