Well, for example: In the state of Alaska the age of consensus is 16 - so anything over 16 is legal with anyone. However, there is also a "five year rule" where if the person is under 18 and the age difference is +5 years its considered statuatory rape
Mike's nephew is 20 years old, and his girlfriend was 15 until recently. If her parents had known about him, they could have pressed charges on the grounds of statuatory rape. Had it been my kid, I would have - 20 is way too old to be dating a 15 year old. Now that she is 16, its not an issue. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nate Nielsen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, May 28, 2002 9:15 AM Subject: Re: Librals Suck ~ lol > Regardless, charges would need to be brought forward for such a case to be > brought to court.
