Err..no. Please read again. He said that *national debt* is the single greatest threat to US national security, not spending. In case you have forgotten, I'll lay out the equation again: debt = revenue - spending You seem to be utterly unaware that spending is not, in fact, the only variable. It is just the variable that you choose to focus on. And I would argue that spending is the least important variable in the equation. It is important, yes, but not nearly as important as revenue, because higher revenue usually means that people are doing better. I favor people doing better, so I want to focus on revenue. You seem to be more interested in trying to "punish" government somehow. Fine but not useful. > Private sector job creation is absolutely a top priority right now. > Unfortunately, it appears that Congress and the White House have no > idea how to foster private sector job creation. Many people in Congress and the White House have ideas on fostering private sector job creation. They seem unwilling to take the risks, however, because people like you are going to piss and moan about anything the government tries to do. The bolder the suggestion, the bigger the blowback. So we end up with weak to pathetic attempts negotiated through pissant "bipartisanship" that end up doing little if any good.
