Someone call Satan and ask if it's snowing... Seriously though, like I said earlier, I'm polite to officers. You can be respectful and politely decline to answer questions.
Going back to the original start of this discussion, I think the only real mistake the guy in the airport made was saying 'None of your business' instead of a more benign "I'd rather not say" or "I'm sorry, but I must decline to answer that question under the 5th amendment." Maybe even throw in a 'sir' somewhere.
