So, anyone keeping up with Alan Grayson's race in Florida. Seems he has
lowered the bar on negative campaigning.

Alan Grayson, Outspoken Florida Congressman, Could Be in
Trouble<http://www.newsweek.com/blogs/the-gaggle/2010/09/29/alan-grayson-outspoken-florida-congressman-could-be-in-trouble.html>

Some of the things he has done seem to the point where they may be
actionable.

One has to ask oneself, what is about a 2 or 6 year job that makes it so
valuable that a candidate will stoop to doctored videos and outright lying
to win a race, forsaking all integrity for the office and process.

Same thing for losing in the primary and then running as a third party or
write in candidate. This is particularly galling since the candidate lost
in a vote by the people and yet somehow thinks they will miraculously be
able to win. Notice that it is the career politicians and incumbents who
seem to do this the most.

Must be more to the job than the salary.

A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover
that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.
