I was going to respond by saying that the amount money involved is
different - but then remembered all the $1 billion+ super stadiums
that are being built.

Personally, I am for using public money for stadiums, assuming its
done 'correctly'. More often than not, a new stadium will help the
area in which its built. Those that don't...well, they were not done
'correctly'.
