Well...people make decisions all the time based on how they think a
majority of Americans feel.
That's why there are polls, statistics, census data etc.

It doesn't take very much to find polls that describe how a majority
of Americans feel about race,
inequality,discrimination etc. either.

And I personally don't see the implication of Superiority in the statement ,

"Why are Hawaiian people obsessed with board shorts?"

Or

"Why are all Americans so obsessed with race and color"

I think we've taken the conversation waaaayyy off course here though. :)
