Have you tried using terminal services? It's blazing fast...much
faster than the VNC/Timbuktu type stuff out there.
Another thought, if you have Win2k machines on both sides of the VPN,
why not just log into your work network over the VPN on your home
machine?

Of course there is always edlin :)
