Thanks for the replies... As Jeff's email relates, opening the files remotely is a nightmare... connecting to the share is a laborious process across the VPN. If all I have to use the GUI for is VSS and browsing (to look at pages that I'm working on) then I'll be happy. As for terminal services, I'm running Win 2k Pro... AFAIK the service is only available for machines running Advanced Server.
