Totally untrue. I have a friend who converted and later married the daughter
of a big Chasidish family. A convert is just as much a Jew as any other one.

I can't claim to speak for all Jews but I can speak for the ones I know and
for myself.

The only thing I can think of is that orthodox Jews only consider someone a
true convert if they do so according to Torah law. It's a controversy as to
'who is a Jew'.
