I can't put it off any longer. I need to open a US bank account this year.
With the massive Digital Divide separating north america from the rest of the world for everything from iTunes and Mac Apps, to purchasing online it's impossible to be involved in Tech these days without a US bank account and associated credit card. Perhaps in the EU things are different, since the UK is normally supported...but for Trinidad and latin America support is practically zero. That means I need to either fly to the States to do a walk-in account setup, or use a third party service such as this: http://www.global-inter.net/bank.html?gclid=CNGDhs7By6YCFUHs7QodgEJ3HQ Now those third party services just seem a little creepy to me. Especially this line: "Note: Nominee Services are available to open a bank account. However, if you use a Nominee Director to open the bank account he/she can be the only signatory on the account" Now I was thinking of simply setting up a Corporate account, and registering a company. But from reading the posts here recently about taxes...it seems insane to keep track of! Have any of you had to go through this? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:333664 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
