Overall, here's my guess as to what's going on:
(1.) The US, Brits, French and others have sent in their Delta teams.
(2.) The teams are trying to do 3 things:
(a.) Inventory and establish contact with any rebel groups
(b.) ID strategic and tactical targets to light up when f117s show up
(c.) Find the bad guys, be they rebels or foreigners
(3.) The military is moving Navy assets in place to launch cruise missiles
and air strikes.
The US will have no choice except to take a position, and they already have:
Gaddafi must go. What they're trying to figure out now is how much
ordinance to put behind that position.
