I got it from the same place I get all my books: the library.

However that book is so awesome I'm going to buy it (esp since there's
something in there I have to clear up re: a thread I had with
Dinowitz).

What's scary about the (true) story is that is shows you:

a.) How little we humans understand about anything, really.

b.) Especially how little we understand about something we SO SO take
for granted everyday: currency and the economy we use it in.

c.) How very very close to the edge we are.

What you discover is that our economy isn't based on science or
economics or anything that you might've presumed we'd gotten all
wrapped up decades or centuries ago.

Instead it's based on the scariest of all monsters, human perception:
If we think we have a good economy then we do!  If we don't, then we
don't.  And if we really don't, then we'll all kill each other.

That weird simple law can literally destroy human civilization and
almost did twice last century; the only thing that saved us was that
we didn't have a-bombs.

Now we do.
