Not wanting to do the things that might be required to get him out of power is not the same thing as wanting him to stay in power. The question "Tell me again why this man deserves to stay in power?" seems like setting up a straw man. No one that I've seen was suggesting that he does deserve to stay in power. On the other hand, there are very good arguments against involving ourselves militarily in Libya. Those are two issues that need to be balanced out and that isn't an easy call, imho.
More than anything else, I'd like to see a relatively clear rationale put forward by our country explaining when we will be interventionist and when we will leave ourselves solely to economic/political pressure.
