What claim? I think you are comparing apples to Volkswagons. I do not
think Trig is going to be running for public office anytime soon, so
why would his birth certificate come into question?

IIRC, one of the requirements for being president is that you need to
be a 'natural born citizen', I do not recall any such requirement for
a candidates children - so again, why does Trig's birth certificate
matter?

'Birthers' have brought up the birth certificate thing to try and
prove that Obama is not legally allowed to be president (as ridiculous
as I think it is). I am not sure what the motivation is behind
attacking Pailin and her children. If its to make her look more like
an ass, I am realyl nto sure that is possible. Pailin does a perfectly
fine job of that on her own.

AS for it being 'ok' to go after her children because she brought them
into the campaign, well, Obama did the same thing. He campaigned with
his children. So would it be OK to be asking questions about their
birth certificates? Personally, when it comes to politics, I think a
candidate's family, anyone who is not legally an adult is off limits.
