Yes, they sold it to a private equity firm a couple years back for like a $1.2 billion loss.
Which is why I don't understand the valuation by MS. eBay bought Skype in 2005 for $3.1 billion, then sold it for a huge loss. Now I'm expected to believe that it's worth about 3X that 2005 price?
