But don't you find it curious that 2 totally people from totally
different backgrounds, one of whom is a noted constitutional scholar
at one of the top law universities in the World, would both support
almost the exact same policy when it comes to national security,
leaks, and spying on US citizens?

And the only difference between then is that the Constitutional
scholar is MORE strict that decried President before him?

That's pretty stunning.

There are only 2 explanations:

(1.) When you get elected President you become very power hungry and
suddenly turn your bias toward government power over transparency even
if you've spent your professional life arguing against such a thing,
or

(2.) When you get elected President you get clued into some VERY nasty
stuff that leaves even most liberal-minded with no choice but to
support such policies.

I'm thinking that, in this case, it's the latter.
