Ben,
Is this the place where your son recently got a job?

H-

for your next trip to SanFran:

Yank Sing.

not in Chinatown, but has been considered one of the
best Dim Sum restaurants for decades.

web site at http://www.yanksing.com has pictures and
descriptions of the menu items.

they have I think 60 to 80 items, depending on day and
time.

interesting building, Rincon Center - back when I was a
kid, it was the US Post Office main sorting facility.
the lobby where you bought stamps etc had famous murals.

when it was "gentrified" they kept the murals and lobby
look, and facade of building (historic landmarks). Where
the back of the p.o. was is a 6-story atrium lobby with
restaurants and cafe's. In the center of the atrium is
a "rain column", where water pours from a perforated
plate near the ceiling to a catch pool on the floor.
(When they have catered parties there at night, they
have to use security guards to keep the drunkies from
running through the rain column and maybe falling,
suing.) Where the trucks used to be are 2 20-something
story residence towers, very $$$.
