LOLOL! I was going out with a farmer from PA (no redneck jokes or I'll sick pappy on ya!) ... And we were out on a date, and driving along some of the back farm roads, and Larry hits a deer.
So it's flopping around in the gully between the road and a field, and we wait for the cops, cause Larry doesn't want to just leave it to suffer. A cop comes along, and Larry asks if he can have the deer. At this point, I'm just flabbergasted over the whole experience ... Anyways .. The cop shoots the deer, they then put the deer in the back of the truck, and back to the farm we go. Larry and his brother hang it up to bleed, and a couple of days later, his mom made us all venison steaks. Yummy!!! Corn fed venison ... Apparently much better than some of the stringy deer you find traveling about the woods of the Poconos or Northern Jersey. Another good venison meal was when Michael Smith and I went to dinner at this restaurant down in Rockville (can't remember the name of the place) .. And they served Venison with a really yummy Peanut Sauce. Sigh. Want venison now. (sorry vegetarians and vegans..)
