There was this *hilarious* taped played on the radio a couple of years ago, that was "supposedly" true and used in an emergency operator training course.
It's not at all as good just describing it, but here goes... A "good ol' boy" is driving on a road through some woods, and hits a deer. He thinks the deer is dead, and manages to drag it into his vehicle. The deer revives, and in the ensuing melee our friend is injured. He makes it to a nearby phone booth, and calls for help. He only gives his first name, and can't give his location. Apparently this was made before auto-location of where you're calling from. He says he needs a "mamblance" because the deer kicked the s**t out of him. <NOTE: the version played on the radio had something bleeped almost every sentence. If you sent in a donation to charity, the radio station was sending out unbleeped versions. I've got it somewhere - good luck finding it though ...> While he's in the phone booth, a big dog appears. It apparently wants the deer. He's trapped in the phone booth. The punchline of the tape was him asking the emergency operator "what I wanna know is who gets the deer, me or the dog?" For a long time, this became our anthem at the office. We were going through a reorganization and political turf fight between three managers. And everytime we wanted to know whether we won or took one in the shorts, the question was "who gets the deer?" <g>. -Ben At 09:28 AM 6/6/02 -0400, you wrote: >I was coming up 68 last Saturday night around 3am.....came up around the corner up a hill and 2 were just standing in the middle of the highway.......I felt really bad..........thank goodness my SUV had a grill on the front....(Hey larry.....suv's can come in handy!!!!!!....seriously just joking don't wanna start another war!!) > >>>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 06/05/02 06:25PM >>> >I hit 3 of the bastards with my car before I moved down south. > >Lucky for them , I didn't have my nukes back then. > >P.T. > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Nick McClure" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Sent: Wednesday, June 05, 2002 3:06 PM >Subject: RE: US Wins!!! > > >> Deer are the big thing out here.
