There was this *hilarious* taped played on the radio a couple of years ago,
that was "supposedly" true and used in an emergency operator training course.

It's not at all as good just describing it, but here goes...

A "good ol' boy" is driving on a road through some woods, and hits a deer.
He thinks the deer is dead, and manages to drag it into his vehicle. The
deer revives, and in the ensuing melee our friend is injured.

He makes it to a nearby phone booth, and calls for help. He only gives his
first name, and can't give his location. Apparently this was made before
auto-location of where you're calling from. He says he needs a "mamblance"
because the deer kicked the s**t out of him.

<NOTE: the version played on the radio had something bleeped almost every
sentence. If you sent in a donation to charity, the radio station was
sending out unbleeped versions. I've got it somewhere - good luck finding
it though ...>

While he's in the phone booth, a big dog appears. It apparently wants the
deer. He's trapped in the phone booth.

The punchline of the tape was him asking the emergency operator "what I
wanna know is who gets the deer, me or the dog?"

For a long time, this became our anthem at the office. We were going
through a reorganization and political turf fight between three managers.
And everytime we wanted to know whether we won or took one in the shorts,
the question was "who gets the deer?" <g>.
