Illegal immigrants have no right to freely book a doctors appointment in the US either. The court ruling in that case is covering critical but planned care and more specifically, covers the person's application to a specific health care insurance program. The US equivalent would be Medicaid and we don't allow illegal immigrants to be covered under Medicaid.
What we do allow is emergency medical care at an ER, which is totally different than applying to an ongoing insurance program. As noted in the article, the primary focus of the ruling is reigning in medical tourism, which is not something we have a problem with here in the US. Nice try though.
