Gotta half disagree with you there, G. I do agree that there is a pussification of the American parent but it is without a doubt also the fault of food corporations and their lapdogs at the FDA and Ag departement. They've conspired to push more and more crap into food, unlabeled and untested, that is specifically trying to get around the inherent mechanism that people have to feel "full". They've taken the food out of "food" and been allowed to keep calling it food and what they've replaced it with is specifically designed to make people consume more and get fat.
