If you don't believe that man can or should fly, because God didn't give him
wings...
Isn't it hypocritical for you to use an airplane?

So if you don't believe in the age of the Universe as science now defines it
because it doesn't match your interpretation of scripture, how can you glory
in the same technology that it uses?

In other words, how can you disregard the technology when it is used for the
Age of the Universe, but revel and glory in it when it is used for a cell
phone call? It's hypocritical. If you trust and understand that one works,
you should trust and understand that the other works as well. So you are
either ignorant of the science behind determining the age of the universe,
or you are wilfully ignoring it.

Similarly with GPS.

The fact is that the people that claim to be creationists don't understand
these everyday technologies that they take for granted and the science that
drives them. They don't see the connection, and most likely they never will
regardless of how it is explained.

I think through the use of hyperbole ( you CAN'T use this) , that is what
the author is trying to demonstrate.
