I was thinking of most current insulin is made from bacteria with recombinant DNA engineered to produce human insulin. Forced evolution essentially. Or antibiotic resistant bacteria. Or that they have to change flu vaccines regularly because of the evolution of new strains. Also look at malaria. Right now the is a particularly virulent strain of the parasite that carries the disease that is resistant to most anti-malaria drugs. Again evolution in action.
