Mobile Flash is being killed off. The plugin that launched a thousand online forum arguments and a technology standoff between Apple<http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/apple> and the format's creator, Adobe <http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/adobe>, will no longer be developed for mobile browsers, the company said in a note that will accompany a financial briefing to analysts. Instead the company will focus on development around HTML5<http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/html5>technologies, which enable modern browsers to do essentially the same functions as Flash did but without relying on Adobe's proprietary technologies, and which can be implemented across platforms. It's all coming apart maaaan!!! It's going down maaaan!!! oh nooeeess!! *runs around with arms flailing in air* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:343966 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
