Of course there's all the other statements made by Iranian officials wanting the destruction of Israel. Or the open and extremely generous support of Hezbolla, development of IR ballistic missiles with enough range to hit Tel Aviv, or the actions of the Kuds Force in the Bekka Valley, or other locations in the middle east. I could go on and on - but its a very depressing litany of attempts by Iran to effect Israel's destruction.
The point being is that despite the slight possibility of a mistranslation, looking at Iran's behavior, I'd say its a fairly good guess that Iran is determined to destroy the Israeli nation. Moreover look at the source, the Vancouver Sun (AKA the Vancouver Scum) is not a credible source. The most credible selection of the paper is the page 3 girl. And she's typically nicknamed Rover. But really the Vancouver Sun is not a newspaper, its a bad tabloid. As for blogs, anyone considering that they have credibility is quite naive.
