Well there has been a clandestine conflict happening for years between
the US/NATO and the Revolutionary Guards / Kuds Force. Just recently
there was a fairly big story of an assassination attempt of Iranian
dissidents by the Kuds Force in the DC area. There have been similar
incidents in Canada, Europe and in South America. I think that the
western and NATO have been very restrained in response to such
provocations. There is also ample evidence of similar involvements
with the insurancts in Iraq and in Afghanistan, with Iran providing
technical expertise and in some cases safe havens.
