No what has happened in relation to the rest of the world, the US has become considerably more right wing. Not conservative, but right wing. In comparison to other industrialized states over the last 30 years the US has generally rejected classical conservatism and replaced it with a blind worship of corporatism. Very similar to the ideas that later became economic fascism.
For example in Canada one of the most right wing national politicians is Stockton Day of the Conservative party. You compare his public statements and campaign propaganda to the US republican stance and he comes across as a very mild RINO. And that is typical of the rest of the world. > -----Original Message----- > From: Sam [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Thursday, January 26, 2012 3:51 PM > To: cf-community > Subject: Re: Watch the Earth Cook > > > Aren't folks supposed to become more conservative as they mature? > You're like a little Benjamin Button. > > . > > On Thu, Jan 26, 2012 at 4:19 PM, Larry C.
