Preppers are not necessarily anarchists or militia. Some are homemakers who are taking the helicopter parent routine way too far. And the fact that the government is watching these "loons" indicates the willingness to watch others. Is the federal government doing the same for peer to peer networks, political sites, etc.? I'm not surprised that you feel this way though. I remember the discussion on Ruby Ridge and your full support of the US government's action there.
