I disagree. I have talked to ignorant policemen and I have talked to policemen who were assholes. I have talked to cynical policemen and policemen who were honorable and had a sense of humor and proportion. Almost all of them were in the job because they were trying to make their communities safer, even the assholes at some level. There are bad cops out there and on the whole they are a bit black-and-white in their thinking, but no.... they aren't in it to screw people for the most part.
