Yes, 2nd degree murder, which I believes also allows for a lesser conviction on Manslaughter, does involve a jury trial. I'm curious about the location of the trial. I'm guessing that the defense will push to move it to a far away venue in hopes of a less prejudiced jury pool. I presume that they'll actually push the notion that there has been too much publicity to get a fair trial at all but I doubt that notion will fly.
Hopefully everyone does a good job, we find out what really went down and justice is done.
