If you make a CHOICE, and that choice is to associate with a certain group....then i think criticism of said choice is not on it's face, distasteful. It can be, but it doesn't have to be. I would make the blanket claim that "all members of the KKK are assholes", and I would stand by that. They made a choice, and here's what i think of it.
