I think there are some key areas that they are gaining lots of ground. One of the really cool transistions has been in the video market. To see Premiere just about single handedly take over where Final Cut Pro left off has been great. I made the change prior to the FCPX debacle so it was really nice to be vindicated as everyone started to look at the Premiere/After Effects workflow and be like "wow this is really cool"
I think if they help usher Flash in to its own niche then they will be positioned to really become strong.
