I see actions on both sides I disagree with. I think there are legitimate
reasons, like trying to prevent assassinations, for a perimeter around a
building with a bunch of heads of state in it. So while ok, I suppose free
speech is everywhere, I think protesters were pushing by trying to get to
that building and *had* to expect to be stopped. That's bogus. Don't stage
police brutality. It happens enough on its own. I see nothing about that
livestreamer from Occupy Chicago anywhere else btw but possibly he is being
mentioned by name in some of the alerts I just retweeted. I also think some
of the Occupy people need lessons in tactics -- ok so it isn't cool to
impound cars of journalists, but journalists should know that Chicago is
not California and not have passengers with joints in their pockets.

Did not know that about IAVW, will keep it in mind. I follow someone
associated with it on twitter and was just looking at his pictures of that
medal event.
