Bureau of Labor and Statistics, CPI Though I used a calculator to help translate $969 in 1980 dollars to 2010 dollars. It can be found here: http://inflationdata.com/Inflation/Inflation_Calculators/Inflation_Rate_Calculator.asp That calculator also uses BLS CPI stats for it's basis.
