According to the OECD again the US in some ways is less free than many
in the top 10 nations. In terms of educational attainment, Canadian,
British, Australian, Dutch, Swedish, and Danish kids have the pretty
much the same distractions.

What is American Exceptionalism but an ideology justifying any matter
of abuse. It was this exceptionalism that justified the slaughter of
natives from the 1790's through to 1900. Its been used to excuse
intervention in Central and South America. For many, when they hear
the phrase American Exceptionalism they look for a bomb shelter.
