Graduation held for first class of FEMA Corps grads in Anniston
231 young adults made history Saturday by graduating as the first class of FEMA Corps at the Center for Disaster Preparedness in Anniston, Al. The first group of FEMA Corps graduates will be a model for thousands more young people who will be trained to help others during times of disaster. After completing 1700 hours of service FEMA Corps members will receive a $5,550 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award to pay for college tuition or students loans. The extensive training in disaster response and services will also service as a pathway to employment in emergency management for those who wish to pursue it. http://www.cbs42.com/content/localnews/story/Graduation-held-for-first-class-of-FEMA-Corps/Ltn69G58Sk6uH7GyhapZBg.cspx Nothing whatsoever could go wrong with this. Interestingly, the shirts worn at graduation by the graduating class were purple. Hmmm...Purple? What organization in this country wears purple and tries to use intimidation and violence to achieve its goals? Wonder if high turn out of R's on election day with low turn out of D's could be considered an emergency. Maybe put to use all of the ammunition ordered by the DHS and the FEMA camps we've heard about. J - We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded. - Barack Obama We took names. We watched how they voted. We know where they live. - Andy Stern ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:356339 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
